Wow
If you’ve been on the Internet in the last 13 years you’ve probably seen this car before, but was blue last time you saw it
Looks like it lost it a hood too.

I’m a little uneasy about turn of the millennium cars becoming ‘a thing’ again.
Time to make some orders from Andy’s Auto Sport!

I think I’m with you. There’s a difference between old stuff becoming cool again, and terrible old stuff becoming cool.
Like how smoking and slavery used to be cool.
This Civic is not a sign of an era we need to treasure, it’s bad taste and too much money.

Widebody all the things.
Its not like they ruined a good car.

Fire won’t kill it that body kit is all steel!

Losing the hood has dramatically improved the appearance of this vehicle.

How can you not like 90’s Civics? They’re a blast as long as you’re not expecting to win any stop light races or maintain 80mph cruising

I wonder how much work it took to fit the stock hood back on. Looks like there would have been interference with the air filter, at least.

I think it had a stock d16 under hood, so probably just moving the filter. And drilling holes for the pins

For real?

If the rumors were true, yes. I guess we’ll have to watch the video to find out

Economy cars only got good in the last 10 years.

You mean since most of them switched to electronic power steering and electronic throttles?
![]() 01/11/2020 at 16:21 |

Since most of them got more that 100 hp , wide tires, big brakes, crash protection, and interiors not sourced from fisher-price

if you’re defining what makes a ‘ good car‘ by how it matches up to modern standards a 2019 Nissan Altima V6 makes every car made before 2000 a bad car haha.
I also think those criticisms are even more true of the EF Civics competitors in the subcompact class :
Chevy Cavalier, Geo Metro, Dodge Colt, Ford Festiva, Hyundai Excel, Mitsubishi Mirage, Nissan Sentra (RIP the Tsuru) , Saturn SC, Subaru Justy 2wd & Toyota Tercel.
And some of those I would argue are too large to be cross shoped with a ~ 1992 Civic. I think only the Cavalier (with the 2.2), the Saturn and the Sentra (with the SR20DE) had a better power to weight.
You have every right to not like them but I think it’s hard to argue the early 90’s Civics are a bad car

I will definetly agree that they are not the worst car.
